Glamour celebrates the 2012 “Women of the Year” in its current issue and to represent the sports world, the magazine honors a range of gold-medal winning female Olympians. Following their impressive and inspiring performances at the London Games, Missy Franklin (swimming), Gabby Douglas (gymnastics), Kayla Harrison (judo), Allyson Felix (track and field) and Carli Lloyd (soccer) are among the ladies featured on the list.

The third-place tie in the women’s 100-meter final will be broken by a run-off or a coin flip, officials announced Sunday.

After a review of Saturday’s final, it was determined that Allyson Felix and Jeneba Tarmoh finished in a dead heat (at 11.068 seconds) for the third and final qualifying spot on the women’s 100-meter Olympic team. That determination was made after review of photographic evidence, reversing the initial result that found Tarmoh finished third.

Nike and Footlocker joined forces to create a promo cartoon which includes the hilarious Charles Barkley, Ken Griffey Jr., Bo Jackson, Clay Matthews, Kevin Durant, and our girls Megan Rapinoe and Allyson Felix! Of course Sir Charles stole the show but it’s great to see Megan get some love in this commercial.
