Exclusive: Listen to Kitty Cash's New Mixtape

Last December, when Kitty Cash released her debut mixtape, Love The Free, the 24-year-old DJ for rapper/singer Kilo Kish had little to no expectations for its impact. “I was so blown away and taken aback,” she tells ELLE.com of the massive critical adoration for the project. Almost overnight, the compilation of slinky cuts by alt-R&B and hip-hop artists she admired put Kitty Cash on the music-industry map.

And it wasn’t long after Love The Free's release before friends and fans began pushing Cash for a follow-up. “Literally the day [it was released] people were hitting me up like, ‘When is Part 2 dropping?'” she says, laughing. “I was like, ‘These people are crazy!’”

Now, however, that day has arrived: Kitty Cash’s Love The Free Vol II debuts exclusively below.

“These are the people that move me and inspire me,” Kitty Cash says of the noteworthy collection of artists on Vol II—Dev Hynes, SZA, Yuna, Willow Smith. “We’re all using each other to spread this amazing sound.” True (and humble), but it’s Kitty Cash that did the arranging to make these songs—including a brand new one from Willow Smith, called “8”—stick in our heads. Which they do. They really, really do.
